Cardiology Testing is covered under MSP, and is billed directly using your BC PHN. Requisitions are accepted from any ordering physician, your testing will be completed and a signed report from one of the skilled Internal medicine specialists of AIM clinic will be returned to your ordering physician.

Athena A Ethier Jeffs , RCT CRDT
Athena is a Port Alberni local who has been testing hearts around the island for the last 12 years. You may recognize her from your treadmill test... Athena is a Registered Cardiology technologist, a member in good standing with the CTABC and CSCT licensing bodies, and a Registered Cardiac Rhythm Device Technician (pacemaker specialty). As well as a member of the Canadian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation. When not in the office Athena enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband and dog. As well as all her students at Phoenix Acrobatics and Cheer. Jenn Pietrzykowski , LPN
Growing up in the Comox Valley, Jenn relocated to Port Alberni about 4 years ago. She joined the Heart to Heart team and immediately became a valuable asset we can not live without! Every patient will agree , that the best nursing hands to be in - are Jenn's. Organization, Professionalism, and Empathy are just a few of the wonderful qualities each patient is blessed with. When not at the office Jenn loves to spend time with her son, watching him play in many different sporting tournament's , Cuddle her pups Ollie, Zara and Duke, and Spend time with her husband. Jaymie is proud to call the Alberni Valley home. Jaymie is a dedicated Registered Cardiology Technologist and a good standing member of the CTABC and CSCT. Jaymie has a diverse background in healthcare, working as a Medical Lab assistant for a decade before proceeding into the wonderful world of Cardiology. Jaymie stays busy serving patients in both the hospital and in clinic at Heart to Heart. We are so grateful to have Jaymie in clinic to share her expertise, calming bedside manner, and her positive and upbeat personality! Jaymie is a mom to 3 amazing children, and when not working loves to spend time with her kids, Fiance , and the rest of her family. |
